Yes, I do birthday parties. For Sing Along Birthdays, I do a 35 minute show with some song lyrics changed to include the birthday child's name. They receive a gift of a CD with those songs on it at the end of the show.
What do you bring? What do I need to supply?
I bring my guitar and a sound system. All you need to supply is an outlet and shelter with shade if I am outdoors. I don't need a table or even a stage.
How much room is needed for setup?
For smaller groups I need less space. If I am playing for 10 people, I don't even need my sound system and I only need standing room. If I play for 20 or 30 people, I can fit myself and sound system in a rectangular space about 6 X 8 feet. If I am with a group of 200 to 400, a staging area 20 feet wide and 10 feet deep would accommodate both additional equipment and staging.
How much time is needed for setup and tear down?
Usually forty-five minute required for setup or teardown. A small show may have less equipment which I can set up in 20 minutes, and but an hour is better for my big show with the "Only Girls".
How small and how big of an audience can you handle?
There is no limit to how small, and the larger audiences are only limited by the size of my sound system. For an audience greater than 500, I would charge additional fees in order to bring a larger sound system.
Would you customize your show to match our theme?
Yes, I can wear theme clothing, prepare special songs, and even change the format of my show in order to accommodate your theme. If you browse around www.johnnyonly.com you will see that I do many different aspects of the entertainment business which can be made available to your party.
